A beautiful red rock ride in the heart of color country. In Red Canyon about an hour from the cabin. It is a few miles East off Hwy 89 on your way to Bryce Canyon. A great ride, mostly intermediate.

Gooseberry Mesa

This picture was taken towards the West end on the North side. Zion National Park is in the background. If you ride the Mesa, don't take the Yellow Trail!

Checkerboard Mesa Overlook Trail
Pine Knoll West Trail
It is a great view of the park as well as Navajo Lake area, Kolob, and the East Mesas of the Park. Because of the commanding view, the Knoll was used years ago for fire outlook during the summer.

Clear Creek Overlook Trail
From the cabin a short fast descent quickly turns into a uphill climb. At times steep, it is challenging to even the most avid. After the climb, the trail evens out and then gently descends to the county road several miles north of the cabin. Following the road back to the cabin is an easy ride. (providing the roads are not wet.
